The World @ My Fingertips

Our director just got back from London last week. Since then, he hasn’t stopped complaining about the expensive hotel room that he had to fork out his hard earned money for. I’m so glad i wasn’t the one who did the booking for him. His secretary was on leave when he had to go for his business trip. So, it was his wife who booked his London accommodation for him.

I overheard him talking about how he only use the hotel room to put his luggage and sleep for a few short hours only. So, it’s not worth paying so much for the room. If he’s going for a vacation, then he doesn’t mind paying for an expensive London hotel. Ya, i agree with him. If i were to pay so much for the room, i want to stay there in comfort with my family. Not just a space to put my luggage, bathe and sleep.

I’d like to visit London one day. I have a few friends staying there whom i’ve not met for a few years already. They say if i were to drop by London one day for a visit, i can stay at cheap London hotels instead of paying full rack rate at 5 star hotels. Of course, i’ll do that. I’d rather save my money for shopping and food.
