5 reasons why i blog

I was tagged by Doris and Matt for this. If i dont get it done pronto, they’ll surely spam me blogs with comments, lol. *joking…. joking…. k*

Looking back, i actually started blogging out of sheer boredom shortly after my 1st son was born. The first blog i created was Just My Lil’ Organic Life, which chronicles snippets of my daily life bringing up Gordon and trying hard to maintain my sanity. I have 4 VERY nosy IBS. This term was coined by me and it’s relation to the debilitating disease is just as equivalent. IBS/Irritating Bowel Syndrome = IBS/Irritating Bitchy SILs. It’s since been a widely used term, lol.

And here are 5 of many of the reasons why i blog:

1) To kill time.

Though both hubby and i run a successful business, i’ve opted to stay at home with my kids. I’m pro-breastfeeding, and currently am still with a 7.5mth old baby. What better to do than blog to while the time away? As i hardly get real-human interaction nowadays, makes sense to make some online friends too. And i have made many; more than my real-life ones. Minus those related to my business, k.

2) Purely for self satisfaction.

It’s a place for me to say what i want. It’s great to know that i do have a place to vent my frustrations and to share my joy with. I love the “I’m so gonna blog about it later…” phrase. I dont dwell with controversial issues. Just want a place to jot down what i have in mind lest i forget.

3) It’s a continuos learning process

Great to learn something new everyday. The world is getting wired. And if i were to rely on conventional ways to keep myself updated, i’ll soon be an obsolete item.

4) Self-worth

I do make a fair amount through my blogs as i’ve monetized 4 out of the 5 blogs i currently write. With more in the making later on when i find a theme. Though i do not need to rely on money from my blogs as a steady income, it’s great proving to myself what super-multitasking at home can provide. I’m more than happy to set aside those money for future use when there are business investment opportunities ahead.

5) Friendship

Just knowing i have made many online friends and the joy of blog-hopping is enough to get me going.

I, hereby tag another 7 persons, lol.
